I just discovered Lendle. It's a free online library for Amazon Kindle books. You must have at least one Amazon Kindle book to share on the website before you can borrow books from other users. Once you've earned points on the website, you can borrow a book once, for 2 weeks. You earn points on the website by interacting on the website and loaning books to other users. Once I loan my first book, I can borrow the 2nd book in a Kindle series that I've been enjoying, the The McRyan Mystery Series. I got the 1st and 3rd book for free but they are charging for the 2nd. I'd much rather borrow it once I receive and honor a loan request. I think 2 weeks is a generous amount of time to read a book. Users seem to be very friendly and willing to share. My loan request was honored within minutes. I've offered to share about 45 books to start and plan to add more.
Please note that Amazon restricts certain books from being borrowed but you can still put them in your profile, Amazon may end the restriction in the future. Lendle also offers the option of becoming a "patron" for a one time $25.00 fee. It offers you more points and additional perks but I will stay with the free option for now. You do not need to own a Kindle to join, just download the free Kindle app. Oh, once you loan a book, it is temporarily removed from your Kindle Library. It is automatically returned after the 2 week timeframe according to the FAQ's. If you decide to join Lendle, tell them Michelle sent you by using referral code NXFO3ERO.
