Here's another YouTube pressure cooker video from Rick Mammana. He is not your standard chef but he is hilarious and offers his viewers some delicious recipes. I have a big 7qt. digital crockpot and a 6qt. pressure cooker. I've made stews and soups in both and have to say, the pressure cooker wins every time. While Rick's briskets both looked delicious, note the time it took for the man to chew the crockpot version versus the pressure cooked version. The cooking takes a fraction of the time and the flavor is unbeatable when you pressure cook. The pressure cooker makes the toughest cuts of meat fork tender. It is going to about 110 degrees today in Las Vegas and while I still prefer this weather to snow, I don't want to heat up my kitchen. The pressure cooker will cook my stew in 45 minutes and the only result is that my kitchen will smell wonderful while our dinner cooks. We won't feel like we are cooking along with dinner lol. Here's a link to the pressure cooker I use multiple times a week. I love it! Yum! I could totally handle this with mushrooms, olives, onions, green peppers and no anchovies! This video makes me want to defrost the ribs that are in my freezer and pressure cook them tomorrow for the big game. This is a foolproof recipe that's done in no time at all. Please follow Noreen's channel. She has wonderful recipes, whether you have a pressure cooker or not. I love my pressure cooker! I have made ribs, meatballs and spaghetti, soups, stews, chili and many other meals in my pressure cooker. The electric pressure cooker is much safer than the old stove top contraptions that would explode and send debris shooting up to the ceiling of your kitchen. Here's QVC's David Venable with an excellent tutorial on my favorite kitchen gadget ever... |
